Six strong drivers compete with W&S Motorsport in ADAC GT4 Germany 2023

W&S Motorsport will compete in the 2023 ADAC GT4 Germany with three Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and a top-class driver line-up. David Jahn and Jannes Fittje, Max Kronberg and Hendrik Still as well as the two young talents Finn Zulauf and Daniel Gregor want to fight for the championship title and for victories in the Trophy classes with the team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas.

"Our full-time debut in the 2022 ADAC GT4 Germany was crowned with a victory at the finale in Hockenheim, preceded by a podium the day before. We now want to build on these successes in the upcoming season and race for victories because we feel very comfortable in the series. It offers exactly the level of competition on the race track that we are looking for," says W&S Motorsport Team Principal Daniel Schellhaas.

He emphasises: "Jannes and David bring important experience from the ADAC GT Masters, where they already competed together. David impressively showcased his skills in the NLS last year and played a big part in the team's Cup2 class win in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring. Max and Hendrik remain loyal to us, which makes us very happy! They have developed excellently together and can also drive right up front. Finn proved that he is one of the really fast and great talents in motorsport by winning the finale and finishing third in the Junior Trophy. We are convinced that he will celebrate many successes together with Daniel in the new season. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Timo Bernhard, who is lending us Daniel from his junior squad as reinforcement!"

Top crew with title potential

The Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport #31 in the new GEDORE design will be driven by David Jahn and Jannes Fittje.

Jannes Fittje can already look back on numerous national and international races in various GT3 cars. Born in Bremen, he was included in the ADAC Sports Foundation support squad in 2014 and recorded great successes in Formula 4 and Formula 3 between 2015 and 2017. His path led him via the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland into the GT3 cockpit and the ADAC GT Masters in 2020, where he shared the cockpit with David Jahn on several occasions.

David Jahn also comes from the Porsche Carrera Cup and has been successful in GT racing for over twelve years. In endurance racing and at the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring, the native of Speyr has recorded numerous class victories, including with Manthey Racing and Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus. In the ADAC GT Masters, Jahn has celebrated five victories to date. In the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 992, he collected decisive points in the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring in 2022 to secure victory in the Cup2 class for AVIA W&S Motorsport.

Two young talents with big goals

The youngsters Finn Zulauf and Daniel Gregor will take the wheel in the AVIA racing Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport with starting number 75.

At the age of 16, Daniel Gregor made history in the DTM Trophy last year together with KÜS Team Bernhard. He managed his first victory in the series at Spa-Francorchamps and the first for the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 in the sprint series. Born in Heidelberg, Gregor joined the Team75 Motorsport junior squad in 2019 via karting. Under the guidance of two-time Le Mans winner Timo Bernhard, he became ADAC karting runner-up in his debut season. Gregor made the switch to touring car racing in 2021 and just one year later was promoted to the GT4 Porsche in the DTM Trophy. Gregor remains part of the Team75 Motorsport driver squad and has been loaned to W&S Motorsport for the 2023 season. In addition, the 17-year-old is supported by the ADAC Sports Foundation on his way to a professional racing career.

Finn Zulauf joined W&S Motorsport in 2021. After his first GTC Race season in a Porsche Cayman GT4, he impressed the jury and secured a sponsorship cockpit in a GT3 for two years. Last year, the 18-year-old completed his debut season in the ADAC GT4 Germany as third best in the Junior Trophy and wants to surpass this result together with Gregor in 2023. In 2022, Zulauf earned his Nordschleife permit together with the team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas and was able to celebrate a podium finish here at his NLS premiere in the Green Hell.

In the ADAC GT4 Germany, the young talent took the first race win for W&S Motorsport in Hockenheim together with Lukas Schreier. The young German from Königstein, who is supported by ADAC Hessen-Thüringen e.V., ambitiously brings his SimRacing experience into the development of a professional racing simulator at the headquarters of W&S Motorsport and thus makes an important contribution to the preparation for the races. Zulauf will also compete with AVIA W&S Motorsport in the Cup3 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) in 2023.

Proven duo in the third Porsche Cayman GT4

With plenty of GT3 and ADAC GT Masters experience as well, Hendrik Still will continue to share the cockpit with Max Kronberg from Berlin in 2023. The duo contested last year's GT4 European Series in the W&S Motorsport Porsche Cayman GT4 and also competed in the ADAC GT4 Germany. They will drive the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport #30 in Rodopi design. Together, the two drivers want to build on the successes achieved in 2022 and once again fight for top results. Kronberg also competes in the Trophy classification, in which bronze-classified drivers over the age of 35 years collect points.

This season, the ADAC GT4 Germany will be racing on six weekends as part of the DTM at tracks in Germany and the Netherlands.

Jannes Fittje, Driver W&S Motorsport #31: "To start together with David for W&S Motorsport is great! We will attack from the first race to score points in the championship. The team has a lot of experience with the Porsche Cayman GT4 and works at the highest professional level. This is a perfect base to achieve the best results in the strongly contested series. I am looking forward to the new challenge and would like to thank W&S Motorsport and my partners for the trust they have placed in me!"

David Jahn, Driver W&S Motorsport #31: "To race with W&S Motorsport in the ADAC GT4 Germany this year is great. We already celebrated victories together in endurance racing and I think we will be able to do the same this year with Jannes at my side. Our car is always well prepared, and the atmosphere is always great as well. I expect a full field and strong opponents, but we are very well lined up."

Daniel Gregor, Driver W&S Motorsport #75: "I am happy that Timo and W&S Motorsport have put together a great package for me and that I can compete alongside Finn in the ADAC GT4 Germany. The team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas knows the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport very well and I am sure we will have a very successful season together."

Finn Zulauf, Driver W&S Motorsport #75: "As far as I am concerned, we can continue in 2023 the way we finished the season last year: with a podium and a win. That will probably not be an easy task, but thanks to the strong team and Daniel as a cockpit colleague, top results can be possible again. Of course, we want to be at the top of the Junior Trophy standings at the end of the season, that is my personal goal. But we also want to fight for the overall championship. The competition will be very tough again, but I am convinced that we can do it."

Max Kronberg, Driver W&S Motorsport #30: "I am really looking forward to another season with W&S Motorsport and Hendrik by my side. We gained a lot of experience last year in the ADAC GT4 Germany and achieved some good results. The pace is there, and we are very well prepared. The team works at the highest professional level and the Porsche was always up front. I think with the proven package of car, team and driver we will be able to deliver strong results next season."

Hendrik Still, Driver W&S Motorsport #30: "I am very happy to extend our partnership together with Max and the crew of W&S Motorsport. It was my wish to renew the agreement and build on the progress we made together in the 2022 season. I am convinced that as a team we will be able to drive even more consistently at the front of the ADAC GT4 Germany field and perhaps even have a say in the fight for the championship."
