Quality tools from GEDORE are always at the race track with W&S Motorsport

GEDORE is the main sponsor of a vehicle in 2023 and the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport #31 and the racing overalls of drivers David Jahn and Jannes Fittje, who compete in the ADAC GT4 Germany, are designed in the unmistakable blue colour of the tool manufacturer. On the third race weekend of the series at the Nürburgring, which takes place as part of the legendary DTM, a specially equipped GEDORE tool transporter was even deployed at short notice to assist with repairs following an accident involving the sister car #30.

The blue GEDORE tool trolleys are always within reach next to the three Porsche cars, and the hard-working mechanics from W&S Motorsport reach for the assorted screwdrivers, open-end spanners or pliers from GEDORE. In addition to routine tasks such as setup adjustments, tyre and brake fitting or revision work, there are also unexpected repairs after accidents. 

In Saturday's race at the Nürburgring, the #30 Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport was forced off the track by an opponent and hit the side of the tyre barrier. The W&S Motorsport crew had to work hard until late into the night to get the car ready for qualifying on Sunday morning. Without further ado, GEDORE brought a van equipped with special tools to the paddock of the Nürburgring. 

W&S Motorsport Team Principal Patrick Wagner explains: "With the various bodywork hammers and special tools, the dented side panel was brought back into shape. Michael Wehler, Head of Global Business Development at GEDORE GmbH, saw the professional work of W&S Motorsport first-hand on Sunday at the Nürburgring. He was able to take a look behind the scenes of the racing team and gain a comprehensive impression of the work involved. Team Principal Daniel Schellhaas explained the race car to him and also gave him an insight into the work of the engineers. In the afternoon's rain race, the three Porsche Cayman GT4s from W&S Motorsport claimed two class wins, second overall and a top-10 finish. "The work the team does on the cars here is impressive - especially in an exceptional situation like after Saturday's race, when a bolide is repaired for the race track within a very short time," said Wehler.
