Difficult weekend for W&S Motorsport at GT4 European Series season finale in Barcelona

The first race on Saturday started with a scare when the #442 Porsche Cayman GT4 of Charles Dawson and Gustavo Xavier was hit by an opponent shortly after the start. Fortunately, the driver was uninjured. The vehicle, on the other hand, was so badly damaged that participation in the second race was not possible and the season ended abruptly for the duo.

The first race also ended prematurely for the Rodopi Porsche Cayman GT4 #30 of Max Kronberg and Hendrik Still after a collision. The car was repaired overnight and started the final race on Sunday morning. But the second race did not last long either and was already over after three laps due to a technical defect.

Taylor Hagler and Dakota Dickerson in the sister car #32 showed a good race and could make up some places. In the end, they finished seventh in the Am classification. Sunday's race got off to an unfortunate start after an opponent pushed the car into the gravel and the race was resumed with two laps down. In the end, ninth place in the Pro-Am class was the maximum.

But we were able to secure third place for Max and Hendrik and the team in the Pro-Am championship, which we are very happy about after not being able to start in the two races in Monza due to the circumstances. Taylor has developed very positively and done a great job. In just five race weekends in the GT4 car, she has consistently improved, which makes us look forward to more! Unfortunately, Charles and Gustavo had an unfortunate accident in the first race, so they were unable to compete in the second. Thanks to the whole team, who always gave their all after the difficult start in Monza and did a super job!"

Hendrik Still, Driver #30: "Unfortunately we leave Barcelona without points and two retirements. Luck was not on our side this time, but we have to accept that. We are happy to finish third in the Pro-Am championship and we would not have expected it after the start of the season in Monza, where we were unable to participate in both races. Max has performed strongly over the season, and I have really enjoyed competing with him and the team."

Dakota Dickerson, Driver #32: "It wasn't a hugely successful weekend in Barcelona, but we had a lot of fun in the two races. I was able to gain a lot of experience in a hard-fought race series. I am very grateful to have been able to race with such a strong team as W&S Motorsport. Our car was very well prepared in all races, and we had the pace to get good results. But unfortunately, we had some bad luck. Still, I want to thank everyone for all that I learned in the four races on new tracks in Europe."
