Successful trio from AVIA W&S Motorsport reunited and set to compete in the NLS 2024

Daniel Blickle, Tim Scheerbarth and David Jahn will line up with AVIA W&S Motorsport in the 2024 Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) and once again have their sights set on the championship title. The trio already shared the cockpit of the AVIA racing Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in 2022 and took four victories in the Cup2 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) and three further class podiums. AVIA W&S Motorsport thus secured the PETN Cup2 team and drivers' championship with Daniel Blickle, who also won the overall runner-up title in the NLS drivers' classification.

The three German drivers will again drive the AVIA racing Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in the 2024 season and compete in the Cup2 class of the PETN. Daniel Blickle took a break from racing at the beginning of 2023 and wanted to spend more time with his family. The businessman from Albstadt returned to the cockpit in September for NLS rounds 6 and 7 and will be back in the race car regularly in 2024.

It will be Tim Scheerbarth's fourth season with Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas' team. The Nordschleife expert and overall champion of the 2011 Langstreckenmeisterschaft Nürburgring (VLN) has already celebrated many successes with the racing team from Ofterdingen and wants to fight for victories and the championship again in 2024.

He will be supported by David Jahn, who completed a double programme with AVIA W&S Motorsport in the NLS and ADAC GT4 Germany in 2023. With two overall victories, two overall podium finishes and two pole positions in the German GT4 racing series, he made a decisive contribution to winning the team championship and finished third in the drivers' standings.

In 2024, the successful Blickle/Scheerbarth/Jahn trio will be reunited and aim to build on the achievements of 2022. The first NLS race weekend will take place on the legendary Nürburgring-Nordschleife on 6 and 7 April.

Daniel Schellhaas, Team Principal AVIA W&S Motorsport: "Our 'dream team' is back! With Daniel, Tim and David, our champion drivers from 2022 are back on the grid together, which is great! We have already celebrated many victories and successes together and we want to repeat that this year. They are incredibly fun to work with and all three are very fast. We will do everything we can to provide them with a perfect car. If we start in the top 10 in qualifying, as we did in 2022, then we also have a good chance of winning overall. I am very much looking forward to the season!"

Daniel Blickle, Driver AVIA W&S Motorsport: "After my break from racing last year, I can hardly wait to get back in the race car. Following my mini comeback at the end of the 2023 season, my fingers were tingling and I am returning to the Nordschleife for the whole season. With Tim and David, I have two strong drivers at my side and our goal is to continue where we left off in 2022: on the podium!"

Tim Scheerbarth, Driver AVIA W&S Motorsport: "I am very happy that Daniel, David and I are back together! Many thanks to everyone who made this possible! We have to regularly finish on the podium to be at the front of the championship, because the competition will be very tough again. The AVIA W&S Motorsport team will once again provide us with a perfectly prepared car and I think that we will have a good chance of finishing at the top."

David Jahn, Driver AVIA W&S Motorsport: "After my stint in the GT4 cockpit, I am delighted to be 'flying' through the Green Hell again this season in the AVIA racing Porsche 992 GT3 Cup. The car is incredible fun and 2022 was already very successful for us. We want to go even further in 2024 and fight for all championships."
