W&S Motorsport is ready for the start of the 2024 Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie season

The 2024 season of the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) starts this weekend and W&S Motorsport will be on the grid with three cars in races 1 and 2. In the Cup2 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN), Daniel Blickle, Tim Scheerbarth and David Jahn will take the wheel of the AVIA racing Porsche 992 GT3 Cup #120 and want to build on their joint successes two years ago. Back then, the trio celebrated four victories in Cup2 and three more class podiums. In 2024, they have their sights set on the championship and want to secure more victories.

Jürgen Vöhringer moves from the Cup3 class of the PETN to the SP10 and will drive alongside Hendrik Still and Stephan Brodmerkel in the Massivhaus Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport #164. Still has been racing for W&S Motorsport since 2022 and previously competed in the ADAC GT4 Germany and GT4 European Series. Stephan Brodmerkel is contesting his first NLS season with W&S Motorsport and wants to gain experience on the Nürburgring Nordschleife.

Moritz Oberheim, Lucas Daugaard and Joshua Bednarski will compete in the CMS Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS #962 in Cup3 and have their sights set on the title in the one-make cup. Oberheim impressively demonstrated his skills last year and celebrated victories and podium finishes with the racing team in Ofterdingen. For Lucas Daugaard and Joshua Bednarski, this is their first full NLS season with W&S Motorsport and both want to contribute to the team's success with a good performance.

The NLS season kicks off with a double-header on 6 and 7 April 2024, with two more races taking place just one week later on 13 and 14 April as part of the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers. The other races will take place on 22 June, 3 August, 19 October and 16 November.

Quotes ahead of the season

Tim Scheerbarth, Driver #120: "I can hardly wait for the season to start again and I am really looking forward to it! With Daniel and David at the wheel and the top team from W&S Motorsport at our side, we have a top package in place. We have to be at the front from the very beginning in order to stay in contention for the championship until the end. If we get off to rocket race starts like in 2022 and can fight for the top positions with the GT3s again, then we have a good chance."

Hendrik Still, Driver #164: "I am very much looking forward to another year together with W&S Motorsport. Even though I am more of an opponent of the team in the GT4 European Series races this year, I am still very happy about the joint project in the NLS and the 24-hour race. This is my fourth season together with Stephan and I am delighted to have him at my side as a solid team partner. I have already got to know Jürgen and I think that the three of us fit together very well as a team and will have a lot of fun during the season."

Lucas Daugaard, Driver #962: "I met the team at the workshop and we worked a few days to get ready for the season. The simulator has also helped to prepare for the first race. It is a very good and professional team and I am very much looking forward to this season. Our aim is definitely to win. But I think my goal for the first race will be to get to know the car and the team better and their way of working."
