W&S Motorsport and CMS start together at the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring

After an extremely successful start to the season in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) with three victories in the Cup3 class, W&S Motorsport and CMS Wheels are expanding their partnership and will be competing together in the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The CMS Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS #962 will be driven by Niclas Wiedmann, Philip Miemois, Joshua Bednarski and Alec Udell.

CMS is a long-standing partner of the racing team from Ofterdingen and the team is relying on a strong driver pairing for the endurance classic in the Eifel. Niclas Wiedmann already competed in the CMS Porsche #962 in the NLS last year and will contest his first 24-hour race this weekend. He already shared the NLS cockpit with his team-mate Philip Miemois in 2023 and the Finn also knows the team and car inside out.

Frenchman Joshua Bednarski has been a regular NLS driver in the CMS Porsche #962 since 2024 and has already clinched three class victories and a second place in class with the team. American Alec Udell joins the team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas and is also taking part in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring for the first time. He has already taken two victories in the GT3 car in the American GT World Challenge this season.

The race twice around the clock starts on Saturday (01/06/2024) at 16:00 local time. The finish is on Sunday (02/06/2024) at 16:00.

Daniel Schellhaas, Team Principal W&S Motorsport: "We are delighted to have our CMS Porsche at the start of the 24-hour race this year. Many thanks to CMS and Andreas Göbel for their support and trust in our team. We are also delighted to have Niclas and Philip back in our team and Joshua and Alec on board. We have a strong driver pairing and therefore the best chance of a good result."

Andreas Göbel, Managing Director CMS Automotive Trading GmbH: "In the third NLS year, CMS is joining the list of participants in the legendary 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. We are really looking forward to it and can hardly wait. We wish our drivers Niclas Wiedmann, Philip Miemois, Joshua Bednarski and Alec Udell the best of luck and a good race. Give it your all, we will keep our fingers crossed!"

Niclas Wiedmann, Driver W&S Motorsport #962: "It has been a big wish for me to take part in the 24h Nürburgring since I was little, which is finally coming true! I can hardly wait to get back in the race car and I am really looking forward to competing with W&S Motorsport and CMS again. With this team and this driver pairing, we are very well positioned for the race and will definitely be aiming for class victory."

Alec Udell, Driver W&S Motorsport #962: "I am looking forward to contesting the 24h Nürburgring together with W&S Motorsport! I want to learn from the experience of the team and my co-drivers on this fantastic track."
