The second half of the season in all racing series has already begun or is well advanced for W&S Motorsport and the year 2023 was marked with ups and downs for the team from the Swabian region. Overall victories, but also setbacks let the mood pendulum fluctuate, but never brought the squad out of balance. W&S Motorsport team founders and managing directors Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas talk about their progress so far in the ADAC GT4 Germany, the GT4 European Series, the Nürburgring Endurance Series and the GTC Race. 

W&S Motorsport started last weekend with three Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS at the 51st 24-hour race at the Nürburgring. The team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas suffered two serious accidents, but in the end they could also be proud of a fourth place with the Mundum Porsche Cayman GT4 #190 in Cup3. 

Over 25 kilometers of asphalt through the Eifel forests, surrounded by hundreds of thousands of spectators, more than 130 race cars and the toughest endurance race in the world twice around the clock await W&S Motorsport. From 18 to 21 May 2023, the 51st edition of the 24-hour race will be held at the Nürburgring and the successful team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas will start with three Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS in the Cup3 class.

W&S Motorsport used the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers last weekend as a dress rehearsal for the great endurance classic twice around the clock in the Green Hell. The Vöhringer Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS #186 was driven by the two NLS regulars Jürgen Vöhringer and Sébastien Carcone, reinforced by Andreas Schaflitzl, to prepare extensively for the 24h race at the Nürburgring in mid-May. The trio finished the first race on Saturday in second place in Cup3 after starting from pole position. W&S Motorsport also finished Sunday's four-hour race in second place after a close final. 

The Hotel Schöne Aussicht is a long-standing partner and supporter of W&S Motorsport in the area of catering and food. Axel and Michaela provide the crew with the ingredients for healthy, hearty and traditional dishes during the race weekends. At the 24h race at the Nürburgring 2022, the Hotel Schöne Aussicht took over the catering for the team and boss Axel even took the wheel of a Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS himself.

W&S Motorsport wants to do something good and supports "Hilfe für kranke Kinder" in Tübingen with a donation. The institution is the foundation at the University Children's Hospital in Tübingen and wants to ensure that every child receives the best possible treatment, advice and support - regardless of the type of illness. In this way, children with a serious illness should also be able to lead a self-determined and happy life.

The racing team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas won the Porsche Cayman Trophy in the Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) in 2021 and also celebrated the runner-up title. W&S Motorsport seamlessly followed up on this triumph in the 2022 season, claiming victory in Cup2 of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN). Regular driver Daniel Blickle again finished the year as runner-up in the overall standings and as PETN drivers' champion in Cup2.

Almost 60 races in seven racing series, three championship titles, eleven victories and a total of 28 podium places, more than 700 championship points after more than 2,700 race laps completed by 30 drivers on 14 race tracks: the season summary of W&S Motorsport is very impressive. 

W&S Motorsport had good reason to celebrate at the anniversary edition of the endurance classic in the Eifel.

W&S Motorsport entered two Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS cars in the dress rehearsal for the 24 Hours of Nürburgring last weekend and took two podium places in the ADAC TotalEnergies 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers. The racing team from Swabia finished twice in third position in the Cup3 class and took a strong fifth place with the second Cayman on Saturday.
