W&S Motorsport and CMS Wheels extend partnership in the NLS 2024

W&S Motorsport and wheel manufacturer CMS continue their collaboration in the Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie (NLS) and will compete in the Cup3 class of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) with a strong driver line-up in 2024. Moritz Oberheim, Lucas Daugaard and Joshua Bednarski will share the cockpit of the CMS Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 Clubsport in the unmistakable colours of CMS Wheels and will be equipped with racing suits in the unique CMS design.

CMS Automotive Trading GmbH has supported the racing team from Ofterdingen for many years and was already present last year with the CMS Porsche Cayman GT4 #962. The team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas won the Cup3 class at the end of the 2023 season and would like to build on this success in the new season.

Moritz Oberheim joined W&S Motorsport last year and is one of the fastest Porsche Cayman drivers in the field. In 2023, the 27-year-old German took a class win and two second places in Cup3 in the AVIA racing Porsche #960.

Lucas Daugaard is a 21-year-old racing driver from Denmark. He began his career in karting at the age of nine and won the Danish Formula 5 championship in 2019. In 2021 and 2022, he competed in the V5 category of the NLS and won the championship in the class in both years.

Joshua Bednarski from France joined W&S Motorsport at the 2023 NLS season finale, where he gained experience in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 CS. The 31-year-old will complete his first full season on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in 2024.

Daniel Schellhaas, Team Principal W&S Motorsport: "Many thanks to CMS for the trust they have placed in us and for enabling us to continue our good and successful collaboration this year. We are delighted to have CMS at our side as a reliable partner! This makes it possible for us to compete in the Cup3 class of the NLS with a strong driver line-up. Moritz is one of the best drivers on the Nordschleife and I am happy that he is still on board. Lucas is a very talented driver and we want to use our experience to help him become a professional driver. We already know Joshua from last season and he also showed a promising performance. I am looking forward to the upcoming races and I am sure that we will achieve good results."

Andreas Göbel, Managing Director of CMS Automotive Trading GmbH: "This year marks our third season with W&S Motorsport - we are very happy about that! Our confidence in the W&S Motorsport team is unwavering. For 2024, we are obviously hoping for a bit more luck before and during the races. The results of the last races in 2023 promised us good prospects. We are looking forward to many successful and enjoyable weekends of racing together with the W&S Motorsport family and our fans."

Moritz Oberheim, Driver W&S Motorsport: "My goal for this season is clearly to win the PETN title. With Joshua and Lucas, we have a top driver pairing with which we will be at the front right from the start. Many thanks to Daniel and Patrick for their renewed trust! Together with our partner CMS, we will give everything for victory!"

Lucas Daugaard, Driver W&S Motorsport: "I am happy to be a part of W&S Motorsport and to be able to fight for podium places in the CMS Porsche! A big thank you to all the partners who have made this possible and put their trust in me. I can't wait for the season to start, and I am sure we will have a good chance in the championship!"

Joshua Bednarksi, Driver W&S Motorsport: "I am really looking forward to the season with W&S Motorsport! I was already involved with Patrick and Daniel's team last year and got to know their professional way of working. Thank you very much for letting me continue to be part of the team! I am looking forward to sharing the CMS Porsche with Moritz and Lucas. I am going to give my best for the team to fight for the championship."
