W&S Motorsport and Kuzey Citak to compete together in the 2025 GT4 European Series

Kuzey Citak will compete in the GT4 European Series with W&S Motorsport in 2025. The 17-year-old Turkish driver is switching from karting to the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport of the racing team from Ofterdingen and will complete his first season in the GT4 cockpit.

Citak lives in London and has competed in various Rotax karting championships in the UK, Italy, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates over the past three years. He has achieved several top five results and wants to take the next step in his motorsport career on the way to becoming a professional racing driver by switching to GT4 racing.

Preparations for his entry into the GT4 European Series have already begun and Citak is accompanying the squad of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas to selected events this season to familiarise himself with the team and the way they work. W&S Motorsport will provide him with the best possible support during test drives and preparation in the simulator in order to develop as a driver and achieve good results in the international GT4 racing series.

The youngster is also part of the W&S Motorsport Academy, which prepares young and amateur drivers for their entry into professional motorsport. Before the start of the season, the academy participants complete a workshop in which they are trained in key areas such as physical and mental fitness, nutrition, learning data and video analysis tools, media and management training. Optimum preparation in the W&S Motorsport racing simulator is also part of the workshop. Kuzey Citak will go through the W&S Motorsport Academy and be prepared for his first outings in the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport.

W&S Motorsport has been competing in the GT4 European Series since 2022. The racing team from Ofterdingen won the European championship title in the Am class in its debut year and finished as Am team runner-up. In the current season, the team of Patrick Wagner and Daniel Schellhaas with drivers Max Kronberg and Finn Zulauf is in a good position in the battle for the championship in the Pro-Am classification.

The 2025 GT4 European Series season kicks off from 11 to 13 April at the Circuit Paul Ricard in Le Castellet, France.

Daniel Schellhaas, Team Principal W&S Motorsport: "We would like to welcome Kuzey to our team. He will be joining us at the race track this season to familiarise himself with the team's work processes and prepare for his debut in the GT4 European Series. He will also be a member of our W&S Motorsport Academy and will be optimally prepared for his first GT4 season in workshops and in the racing simulator. We are looking forward to working with him and will give Kuzey the best possible support to help him quickly get to grips with the GT4 car."

Kuzey Citak, Driver: "I am very happy that W&S Motorsport is giving me the opportunity to make the step into GT4. I am proud to compete in the GT4 European Series next season and gain experience on international race tracks. With the support of W&S Motorsport, I want to take the next step in my career and become a professional racing driver. I am really looking forward to next year and the new challenge!"
